Week Four Points!

Time is flying by!  The weeks go by so fast and here we are again ready to post points.  I hope you all had a wonderful week.  I am loving this new lifestyle and am starting to see and feel the results.  That's what I was hoping for, and it sure makes it easier to want to continue this for good!  I think we would all love to hear each other's feelings, experiences, challenges, successes, etc.  It sure helps to have a support system!  So, please share your thoughts!  (AND YOUR POINTS!)  :)  Have a happy week!

  1. 345 for me. It was my best week yet! I really struggle with getting all 8 hours of sleep. Having two little ones that still wake up during the night makes that one a huge challenge for me. And this morning, I forgot to say my morning prayer! I was even fasting so I was so mad at myself! I was woken up by a screaming kid and got in the groove of getting my four girls ready for church and didn't think of it until about 12:30. I also have a hard time getting the full hour of exercise done in the morning before everyone is up and the craziness begins. I find myself having to put in 15 minutes almost every night too! That is so hard, and if it weren't for this contest, I would just go to bed! So...this is great for me. I have lost a few pounds which is nice. But even better than that, I feel so much better!

  2. 231 for me and I put back on a pound. My new goal is to never have a week that bad again. But it was my own fault. This week my hardest thing other than exercise was treats. Which is crazy because that has been so easy for me so far. About half way through the week, I kind of gave up. But, it's a new week and my goal for this week is to have at least 300 points. What was nice about having a week like that was I got to see how much crappier I felt compared to the week before where I did awesome. That is great motivation to do well.

  3. I got 349. I like Jenny, missed my morning prayer and didn't remember until 2pm...ARGH! I've been struggling with losing anything and I think I am going to cut the treat out all together and maybe only have once a week treat. We'll see how that goes ;)

  4. Tammy- This is week 2 of an ill boy so I am lacking in all areas. I thought he would go to school this morning, but up all night vomitting. Ughhh...Calgon & bleach....remove the bugs (and stress) from my house. Points- working nites and no sleep = 180. Better this week, I can feel it!

    2. So sorry Tammy! Poor Cole! (And you!). Having sick kids really takes a toll on us mommas! You are amazing to still keep track of your points. I might have just thrown in the towel! :)

  5. I only got 199 last week and was pretty sure I was going to give up! It seems that when I get lazy about exercising then the eating all slides as well. Thanks to a kind husband, I now have a big, ugly piece of exercise equipment in my bedroom. Hopefully the convenience will outweigh the lazy monster that lurks within!

    3. :) You guys are too funny! It seriously looks so tacky but I knew if we put it downstairs or out in the garage to replace the dead treadmill, I wouldn't use it! If I have to walk past it to get out of bed, you'd think I should use it, right!! Come join the pajama party any time! This bedroom's gonna be a rockin!

  6. I got 352, and it wasn't easy! One night I had to work out very late, then I had to make sure I got the full 8 hours of sleep after that! Thank goodness it was Saturday so I could sleep in. I've also had to take an Excedrin P.M. (or other sleep aid) to make sure I can sleep, so I guess that's my hardest thing. If we didn't get one dessert per day, that would definitely be my worst problem. And I gained 2 pounds this week, so I'm pretty frustrated with that, since my eating habits are MUCH improved! I'm not quitting this until I've reached my goal weight, however, so I'll be doing Fit and Fab for quite a while!

  8. I got 318 points. Wow I am impressed by you all! It is good to hear that we all struggle with something during this challenge. Not that I want you to struggle, I'm just glad I'm not in it alone. My hardest area is the exercise for 6 days out of the week. Some days it is hard to work around kids and schedules. But I can tell it is paying off on the days I do get the exercise in... I'm feeling a bit more fit these days...not fabulous yet but at least a little more fit.:)

  9. I got 352. This week was harder for me because I got a nasty cold half way through the week. Exercising was the last thing I wanted to do, but I MADE myself do it. I am SUPER impressed with those of you who have little kids and babies! You guys are great!!

  10. I am having such a hard time getting 8 hrs of sleep. I go to bed earlier just in case kids wake up and they have done great but I wake up early every morning ready to go but have to go back to sleep cause it hasn't been 8 hrs yet. Guess I like a little less sleep;)

    So grateful for this challenge!

  11. Hats off to all of you with little ones. I remember those days and it is tough!!! I got 352, if I can count laying in bed with the lights off, eyes closed and no electronics? Sleep is the hardest thing for me too. And I'm finding the better I eat the less sleep I feel like I need. I'm normally one that likes 9 hrs so I didn't think sleep would be an issue, but this last week, I've found myself waking up earlier and then laying in bed with my eyes shut to get my 8 hrs in too! I honestly can't believe how much more energy I've had, and I know it's because I'm eating more veggies, less sugar, drinking more water and possibly getting to bed earlier than I normally would!!! Each week I have felt better than the last and can really tell that this is the way we should live if we want to be Fit and Fabulous!!! HaHa! It is just so crazy to me, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner and I don't ever want to quit now! The downside to this whole thing for me is that my Friday and Saturday nights are turning into workout nights, instead of movie and dinner nights!!! Haha!!! It definitely helps to have Wayne doing this with me! Also, I lost a few extra ounces this week shooting for a total of 4lbs by next week! My goal is 6lbs for the 12 weeks. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I know most people fluctuate with 1-5 pounds each week, and it's usually just water, but when I'm seeing numbers on my scale that I haven't seen in 6+ years, then I know I'm doing something right! It's amazing to me that even just 1 pound can make you feel different! And I know it's not just water, because believe me, I'm hydrated!!! Hehe!!!

Sorry to go on and on...

  12. I had my best week too....335! I had to add it three times just to make sure. It's really hard when you don't feel well! Proud of those who kept at while they were sick too! I seem to do really well at the beginning of the week, when I'm in the "grove" of the week. Then I seem to hit a wall Thursday night, Friday. I start thinking, "oh, it's only 3 points." Then I'll forget a prayer or scriptures, then the next thing I know, it's 10 points. I'm also going out of town this weekend, any suggestions?
    Keep up the hard work!

  17. Ugg...This last week was brutal! I got a whopping 261. But hey...I figured out that not being able to get out of bed for 5 days and not eating anything, turns out to be a great way to loose weight! ...NOT! Well here's to this week with no strep throat or pneumonia!!!
